Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande inside the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards

Nicki Minaj quiets the Ariana Grande beef rumors that were sparked by her praising the pop princess in her new "Bust Down Barbriana" freestyle.

"Killing everybody's beat. Thank you, next, Ariana," Minaj rapped in reference to Grande's smash-single.

Due to the fact that Nicki's "Going Bad" freestyle took shots at ex-lover Meek Mill, some of Grande's fans were confused by the slight punchline and assumed Minaj was instigating a beef with the singer. This caused the two entertainers' mega fan bases to work together and try to decipher if they should take up arms.

Not more than you’ve been there for me behind the scenes. Love you. For life. https://t.co/yDCpmI9RZO

Eventually, Ariana and Nicki stepped in to defuse the situation, explaining that their relationship goes past music and the two would never be at odds.

Outside of this, Nicki Minaj has earned another accomplishment to add to her resume. On Wednesday, Feb. 6, RIAA announced that Nicki Minaj has joined the likes of Rihanna, Katy Perry, and Taylor Swift as the only female artists to eclipse over 100 million units sold. This makes her the only female rapper to achieve that success.
