Dev Hynes accused Lollapalooza security of assaulting him and his girlfriend Samantha Urbani yesterday. The incident took place hours after his festival set, and started with security grabbing Urbani. When Hynes asked what was happening, guards grabbed him by the neck and threw him to the ground, resulting in bruises. Urging fans who witnessed the incident to contact him, he vowed to press charges, adding that security has actually accused him of assaulting them. The irony of the situation: Hynes was wearing a t-shirt that honored Eric Garner, a victim of police brutality. Hopefully the matter gets resolved fairly.

If they're doing this to the musicians playing, then how have they been treating all the attendees throughout the day?

Ps. One of the security guards is claiming that I assaulted him which is insanity. If you saw the incident please get in touch. Thanks.

UPDATE: Lollapalooza has released a statement regarding yesterday's incident. It reads: "Late Friday night, we learned of an incident involving an artist and a security guard on site. Since then, we have been in contact with those involved and the authorities, as we work together to resolve the situation. As always, our top priority is to ensure the safety of everyone at the festival." It's certainly vague, but it's also a step in the right direction.
