It's a good day to be Travi$ Scott.  According to Billboard, with 88,000 equivalent album units earned, the G.O.O.D. Music rapper/producer has notched his first No. 1 album with his latest release Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight. It's an impressive mark to be sure, and a good 25,000 more than his last release Rodeo. That album hit No. 3 last year, just behind The Weeknd's blockbuster Beauty Behind the Madness and Five Finger Death Punch's Got Your Six

While this has certainly got to put a smile on Scott's face, you have to believe that Apple is just as happy. Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight was available exclusively to stream through the company's Apple Music platform and was available for purchase on iTunes. Incredibly, this is the fifth album that has gone to No. 1 this year as an Apple exclusive following in the wake of Blonde by Frank Ocean, Major Key by DJ Khaled, EVOL by Future, and perhaps most notable of all, VIEWS by Drake.

To say that Scott's latest record performed well on the streaming platform would be an understatement. The songs on Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight managed to generate 50.2 million streams during its first tracking week, which equates out to 33,000 SEA units. The other 53,000 was made up for in traditional sales. Scott took to Twitter to thank his fans.

Elsewhere on the charts, Drake's VIEWS managed to climb back up to No. 3 with 66,000 equivalent units moved while his rumored girlfriend Rihanna went from No. 9 to No. 8 with her own album ANTI. Both Beyoncé and Frank Ocean experienced pretty significant falls, with the former dropping to No. 9 from No. 7, and the latter descending from No. 5 to the bottom of the top 10.
