Though Rich the Kid signed a new deal as a solo artist with Interscopelast June, he’s still not a happy camper. On Friday, he took to Instagram to air out his grievances with 300 Entertainment.
“Fuck 300 [Entertainment], y’all suck,” Rich said, in the now-deleted clip. “Listen, y’all gotta let me out this damn contract. I don’t wanna be with y’all no fuckin’ more. I told y’all I get y’all this money back. I don’t wanna be with y’all label no more. Y’all suck. Y’all is trash. Listen, young independent artists, do not sign with 300 Ent. They’re the worst, worst label ever.”
Rich the Kid hasn't been the only artist who's publicly spoken about their issues with 300. Back in February, Migos and Quality Control Music executive Pierre "Pee" Thomas told Complex that the label gave them their careers' biggest hurdle. "For 18 months, we couldn't sell no product," Pee explained. "Whatever that was already out, that was already on iTunes or whatever, that was cool, but anything that we was putting out, it was like we was shackled down." They'd release the massively successful "Bad and Boujee" soon after that drought.
Rich announced he signed with Interscope prior to dropping Rich Forever 3 (which was still distributed by 300) on June 16, 2017. His label Rich Forever Music is still under 300 Entertainment. He released his debut studio album The World Is Yours through Interscope and Rich Forever in March.
