Vory has unleashed his debut studio album, Lost Souls.

The Grammy-winning artist began teasing the project in summer 2021, under the original title Lost Angels. Since then, Vory has expanded the album from eight to 17 tracks, including the previously released single “Do Not Disturb,” featuring Yung Bleu and Nav; as well as the Kanye West-assisted “Daylight.” Vory spoke about the latter cut during a recent with Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe, confirming the song was originally intended for Ye’s 2021 Donda album.

“We had recorded six records probably… ‘Daylight’ was just one that didn’t really make the cut,” Rory said. “But everyone loved it. We just didn’t know where to put it at. Pusha-T kept hitting me up about it, saying that’s one of his favorite records. I hit up Ye and was like, ‘Yo, we gotta do something with this record,’ and he was like ‘Yo, put it on your album.’”

Vory and Ye previously linked up on “Jonah,” “God Breathed.” and “No Child Left Behind” from Donda, as well as “Lord Lift Me Up” on 2022’s Donda 2.

“I just feel like we work so well together,” Vory told Lowe about Ye. “I understand his creativity and he understands my creativity. He’ll be thinking something and I’ll finish his thought before he even finishes thinking it.”

Lost Souls also features production by Ye, 88-Keys, and Evan Mast. You can stream the project now on all major platforms and check out the project’s short film up top.
