LaMelo Ball celebrated the birth of our nation like many other proud Americans: He set off an obscene amount of fireworks.

As pointed out by Hoops Provider, the 16-year-old athlete spent the holiday hanging out at Lil Yachty’s house with a large group of friends and even larger arsenal of pyrotechnics. Lil Boat made sure to share highlights of the wild night in a series of Instagram stories, beginning with a close-up shot of all the unwrapped fireworks and ending with the disastrous aftermath. No, really: We pity the person who had to clean up that driveway.

Toward the end of the night, Yachty turned his camera toward the youngest Ball son to congratulate him on his recent game performance as well as accuse him of nearly destroying his home.

“You had a big game today, bro. You almost set our house on fire,” Yachty joking tells LaMelo.

During an appearance on Complex's Sneaker Shopping last year, Yachty spoke about his love for the Ball family and how he considered himself to be one of LaVar Ball's sons:

“I’m a Big Baller fan,” Yachty said. “Shouts to the Ball family. I’m the fourth Ball. Shout outs to Lonzo Ball. Shout out to pops. I’m Yachty Ball, the fourth one, they just don’t know it yet. Big Baller Brand, ya feel me?”
