Kamaiyah is currently on Logic, G-Eazy, YG, and Yo Gotti's Endless Summer tour, and after a show in the Bay Area over the weekend, she sat down for an interview with 106 KMEL. During the conversation, she revealed that she spent time in the studio with Travi$ Scott recently and that the two worked on at least one song together.

"He reached out," she said, explaining that they connected through mutual friends in the music industry. "He liked the swag...His management ended up coming over, we talked with his management, and he ended up in the studio that night and [we] got a record. Trav fuck with it, I fuck with Trav. I love his energy. I love his vibe. We got something coming."

There's been a promise of new music from Travi$  for a while now. He dropped "No English" with Juicy J in June as well as "Pick Up the Phone" with Young Thug and Quavo, but his recent promise of a new album has so far failed to materialize. On June 29, he told fans at a concert that "my album is coming out in a week." It's been two weeks since then, and there's still no album in sight.

Travi$'s forthcoming project is likely titled Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight, but he's also teased the existence of another project called Astroworld. Kamaiyah didn't specify which body of work their song might be appearing on or when exactly it is set to come out, but it's clearly something to keep an eye out for.

While you're waiting for more Travi$ news, you can check out Kamaiyah's interview above. She also discusses being from the Bay, playing Summer Jam, and her plans for other new music outside of her Travi$ Scott collab.
