Azealia Banks once-promising career hasn't exactly been thriving recently. Her dramatic blow up earlier this year—which included hurling the phrase "sand nigger" at Zayn Malik—got her banned from Twitter, and her strange endorsement of Donald Trump didn't exactly win her any favor either. Beneath it all, there's always been good music, like her early 2016 mixtape SLAY Z, but for most of her career it's been overshadowed by her antics and Twitter beefs.

Now, after some time away from the spotlight, she's looking to hit the reset button. In a post on Facebook, Banks explained that she is signing with The Wu-Tang Clan's RZA. "I'm FINALLY getting a record deal," she wrote. "I'm signing with RZA. He and I have excellent working chemistry. Filming coco with him was loads of fun!! Now I get to make music with him!!!"

In the post, she also promises that her next project, titled Business & Pleasure, would be on its way soon. Aside from SLAY Z, it's been a quiet time for Banks musically. She hadn't dropped a project since 2014's long-delayed debut album Broke With Expensive Taste.

Hopefully, with her social media presence toned down significantly in recent months, she can finally get back to making good music. RZA certainly has a track record of making some high quality music. Is it possible, after years of false starts, that she could finally have the musical breakthrough that everyone predicted years ago when "212" blew up? We'll have to wait and see, but it's the most promising development in her career in years.
