Just a week after teasing its existence, Pharrell has dropped his collaborative track with Tyler, the Creator and 21 Savage.

The song, which is titled “Cash in Cash Out,” marks the latest in a long list of collaborations between Pharrell and Tyler. The pair previously joined forces on “IFHY,” a track from Tyler’s 2013 album Wolf, and teamed up again in 2016 on Tyler’s third studio album, Cherry Bomb (“Keep Da O’s”).

Most recently, Pharrell was featured on Tyler’s Call Me If You Get Lost cut “Juggernaut,” before linking with the rapper this year on “Come On, Let’s Go,” a standout song from NIGO’s second studio album I Know NIGO!

Meanwhile, “Cash in Cash Out” serves as the first collab between Pharrell and 21 Savage, arriving several months after the Atlanta rapper anointed the super-producer as the “King of Drip” on Twitter.

Speaking with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, Pharrell explained how he landed on Tyler and 21 as his collaborators. “I knew the track was aggressive, and it doesn’t let up. So it’s like those are the two. It’s like letting two pit bulls loose. Ravenous. Two ravenous wolves….Tyler went crazy. He had done that verse before he put his last album out,” he said.

Adding that Savage “went so crazy,” the multi-hyphenate continued, “That’s always the driving force of my curiosity in working with somebody, is how can I push them? Because wherever I push them, it takes me. I love driving that out of people because it takes us places. You know what it is? [21 has] got his point of view on things. We’ll talk about some shit or whatever, but then he’ll go right in the booth and go into his zone when he finds those amazing pockets, and he just stays in character. It’s awesome to watch. He’s one of my faves.”

On the music video, Pharrell told Lowe, “We knew that we wanted something that was different and something that was gripping, something that I had never really done before. … If I can’t put a blow torch to your face, what am I doing? I mean, Scorsese doesn’t play. Why should I?”

Following the release of his new track, Pharrell will hold his Something in the Water Festival from June 17 to June 19 in Washington, D.C. The festival, which is getting a livestream via Amazon Music, will include performances from Clipse, Justin Timberlake, SZA, N.O.R.E., Q-Tip, Tyler, the Creator, Calvin Harris, Pusha-T, Lil Uzi Vert, Run the Jewels, Usher, 21 Savage, Mariah the Scientist, Rae Sremmurd, and many more.
