Drake has scored his 11th No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, as his latest offering Honestly, Nevermind debuted atop the chart, Billboardreports.
Drizzy’s seventh studio album earned 204,000 equivalent album units in its first week of release, with 11,000 being pure album sales. The 14-track LP also scored the fourth-largest streaming week (250.23 million streams) for an album in 2022, behind Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti (356.55 million), Kendrick Lamar’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers (343.02 million), and Future’s Never Liked You (283.75 million).
Drake has now moved past Kanye West and Eminem to tie Bruce Springsteen and Barbara Streisand for the third-most No. 1s in the history of the Billboard 200, trailing only the Beatles (19) and Jay-Z (14).
Released on June 17, Honestly, Nevermind delivered 14 tracks with production by Gordo, Black Coffee, Kid Masterpiece, Noah “40” Shebib, and more. The only credited guest artist was 21 Savage, who assisted on album closer “Jimmy Cooks.” Other tracks include “Falling Back,” “Tie That Binds,” “Calling My Name,” “Flight’s Booked,” and “Down Hill,” all of which find Drake dabbling in dance music.
Back in September, Drake’s sixth studio album Certified Lover Boy scored the biggest debut week of 2021, moving 613,000 equivalent album units. The LP earned 236,000 equivalent album units during its second week on the charts, before topping the Billboard 200 in its third week with 171,000 units moved.
Meanwhile, the Toronto rapper’s 2018 Scorpion LP took the top spot with 732,000 units, and 2016’s Views and 2013’s Nothing Was the Same each debuted at No. 1 with 852,000 and 658,000 copies their first weeks, respectively.
