Two days after announcing its existence, Chlöe returns with the music video for her new single “Surprise.”
Directed by Diana Kunst, the steamy visual sees the 23-year-old R&B singer blessing her male partner with captivating harmonies.
“Give me your money, baby, I’ll make it rain for you,” she sings over a heavy bass beat. “Feel like you cheatin’ the positions I play for you/Surprise, tonight you get my freaky side.”
“Surprise” is the third single released from Chlöe’s upcoming debut solo album, which is expected to arrive this year. Produced by Scott Storch, the track follows the previously released singles “Treat Me” and “Have Mercy.”
The elder half of sister duo Chloe X Halle has teased her solo career since last summer, telling Billboard that she hopes the forthcoming LP will inspire people to accept themselves for who they are.
“No matter if people are saying I’m doing too much, it’s OK, because that’s who I am,” she told the outlet. “I’m not forcing it or being anyone different. If I listened to what people said or what they told me and if I dumbed it down, that’s when I’m not being myself.”
