YNW Melly Says He's 'Coming Home' Soon in Phone Call From Jail

YNW Melly celebrated his 20th birthday earlier this month from behind bars, with no clear end in sight for his ongoing first-degree murder case. The rapper is currently facing life in prison or possibly even the death penalty if convicted of the double-murder of two of his friends, YNW Sakchaser and YNW Juvy. Despite this, in a phone call to his management team, he claimed that he'll be "coming home" from jail very soon.

"Melly shared a message for his fans," his team wrote. "God is real," added Melly. "He has cleansed my soul, he has blessed me tremendously. [...] He's the reason I'm coming home." While it's hard to make out everything he's saying due to the poor quality of the audio, it's clear that Melly believes he'll be out of jail in the near future.

As previously reported, Melly is suspected of being responsible for the 2018 murders of Christopher "YNW Jivy" Thomas Jr. and Anthony "YNW Sakchaser" Williams. Police have alleged that Melly shot the two men and promptly staged it to appear like a drive-by shooting.

Future recently wished the 20-year-old rapper a happy birthday while also calling for his release.
