Tyler, the Creator

Last week closed out as two huge projects were released, with both Tyler, the Creator's IGOR and DJ Khaled's Father of Asahd arriving on the same day.

Despite Khaled's previous records arriving at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200, early numbers from Hits Daily Double indicate that he'll only hit the No. 2 spot as IGOR takes the crown.

If IGOR tops the charts, this will mark Tyler's first No. 1 album. He came close with Flower Boy at No. 2 in 2017, but he ultimately lost out to Lana Del Rey's Lust for LifeIGOR is predicted to bring in an impressive 145-170k album equivalent units, 45-65k of which are expected to be pure sales. If it lands on the higher end of that figure, that's a better first week than both Flower Boy (106k) and 2015's Cherry Bomb (51k) combined. Tyler has also been performing well on both the Spotify and Apple Music, with early highlight "Earfquake" currently sitting at the top of the North American streaming charts.

As for Khaled, both 2016's Major Key and 2017's Grateful debuted at No. 1 on the albums chart. Khaled's Father of Asahd is projected to move 110-135k album equivalent units. Khaled has six individual tracks from Father of Asahd on the Apple Music chart, occupying both No. 2 and No. 3. His Cardi B and 21 Savage collaboration "Wish Wish" and "Higher" featuring John Legend and the late Nipsey Hussle are performing particularly well.
