J. Cole has announced the return of his massive homecoming event Dreamville Festival as a two-day run this time around. The fest, which first took place in 2019, has grown in size, with two festival dates on both April 2 and April 3, 2022.
Cole previously revealed the fest’s return when he announced the dates for his The Off-Season Tour with 21 Savage, and he has now shared that it will be taking place at Raleigh’s historic Dorothea Dix Park.
“It’s exciting to finally be back,” said Dreamville Partner and Festival President, Adam Roy. “Ever since we wrapped our first fest, we’ve been waiting to get back to the park with our Dreamville family. We had to come back bigger and better than before. With the fest moving to two days, Dreamville Festival is about to become the festival our team has always dreamt about. We want this to grow into one of the premier annual music experiences in the country.”
General admission and VIP passes for the event go live on Friday at 10 a.m. ET, with pre-sale available Tuesday at 10 a.m. ET for those who sign up to the event’s newsletter here.
While the 2022 lineup has yet to be revealed, the fest’s 2019 lineup included the entire Dreamville roster, with everyone from Ari Lennox to EarthGang performing, as well as non-Dreamville artists like SZA, Big Sean, 21 Savage, 6lack, and Nelly. Of course, Cole also put on a set at the event.
Next year’s festival will require proof of COVID-19 vaccination or negative test results obtained within 72 hours of the event. A portion of the fest’s proceeds will go toward the Dreamville Foundation and the Dorothea Dix Park Conservancy.
