Drake Quotes Pusha-T Lyric as Caption on Video of Him Spending Quality Time With Son Adonis

As cute as the moment was, most eagle-eyed Clipse fans took note of the 2002-era caption the 'Certified Lover Boy' rapper chose for his IG video.

Drake, once accused by Pusha-T of ghostwriting and hiding a child, is now using Push’s lyrics to caption a video of said kid.

In a post on Jan. 28, Drizzy shared a clip of him speaking to his son Adonis. And as cute as the moment was, most eagle-eyed Clipse fans took note of the caption the rapper chose for the Instagram video: “I been around the world thrice times I mean what I say
”

Anyone who’s spent time with 2002’s Lord Willin’ should recognize the line from Push’s verse on “Cot Damn.” It isn’t a stretch to see Drake pay homage to the classic record, as he once declared himself a “really big Clipse fan” who owned a mic supposedly autographed by Push. But as history shows, things took a turn years later.

From some shots on Push’s critically acclaimed 2018 album Daytona, to Drake’s response in “Duppy Freestyle,” to Push’s son-revealing bars on “The Story of Adidon,” it’s unclear why Drizzy—who vowed not to make up with the G.O.O.D. Music president—would now caption an IG post with his lyrics. While he has made up with the Virgina MC’s label affiliate Ye, Drake and Push have yet to squash any beef of their own on a public platform.

“I have no desire to ever mend anything with that person. That situation went where it went, and there’s just no turning back,” Drake told Rap Radar in 2019. “On his part, it was a genius chess move. When it comes to me, he won’t have any morals or respect.”

Fans are eagerly awaiting King Push’s next full-length release following Daytona. During a recent interview between manager Steven Victor and Complex’s Jordan Rose, Push hopped on the phone to declare that he, in fact, was about to drop the album of the year.

“This era of Push is probably the most relaxed and competitive,” Push said. “I take the game so lightly, because now I know I’m so different. I know nobody is touching me on the street rap tip. It’s just not happening. I just want them to understand my foundation, and when it comes to my foundation, ain’t nobody fucking with me on that. So now I just take it all so lightly, and just be great. You ain’t see me do nothing for the last two years except hold my child and build homes. I just wanted the world to see my son. He’s so beautiful. I just wanted to drill that into the world for 19 good months, now it’s time to go.”
