KYLE and Alessia Cara's latest video is a meeting of the buzzy minds. Both the "iSpy" rapper and the "Here" singer seemed to bubble up on the strength of unassailable singles and a zeitgeist-capturing energy. Now the pair are together on a colorful Kid Studio-directed clip for the track "Babies."
Fans of the two have no doubt heard the track by now. It comes from KYLE's debut album Light of Mine, which dropped back in May. But the video is still more than worth a watch. Kyle goes for the same hyper-colorful and childish aesthetic that he unleashed with Lil Boat in his biggest hit, and the effect of it hasn't dulled one bit. Check it out up top.
While KYLE has been relatively quiet this year on the music front, that doesn't mean he hasn't been busy. He recently starred in the Netflix original film The After Party and told us that he's looking to keep the acting gigs coming.
"I have a script that I’m looking at. After seeing the film for a second time, I had no greater desire than to go and immediately shoot another film," he said. "This has by far been the most fulfilling experience of my life—equally, if not greater than, the feeling of making an incredible song or an incredible album. This movie has given me so much joy from filming it to going through the editing process and watching it and finishing it. I’ve never felt this way in my entire life. If I could leave here and shoot another movie right now, I would."
