Despite some album and tour drama, Teyana Taylor continues to be a force. Following the release of her sophomore album K.T.S.E., she went on The Tonight Show last night to perform a medley of cuts from the project including “Gonna Love Me” and “Rose in Harlem.”
The appearance serves as another reminder that out of all the things Taylor is known for, she’s an incredible performer. Dressed like a rose herself, the G.O.O.D. Music artist gives an impassioned, red-drenched show while paying homage to her home borough and reminding everyone she’s going to thrive no matter what. Check out her performance in the video above.
Last month, Teyana dropped out of her “Later That Night Tour” with Jeremih, and later announced her own solo excursion. She explained her reasoning by putting the R&B crooner on blast, calling him “lazy, sneaky, jealous, conniving, and selfish” on Twitter. She also claimed she’d been “extremely mistreated” on tour. Fortunately for fans, Taylor continued on her own trek across that country that just wrapped earlier this month.
