It looks like Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty have got married, according to the Queen rapper's latest IG post.
Nicki captioned said post with a series of emojis along with a date that is seemingly the day they tied the knot, October 21, 2019. Though there isn't much in the way of details, the IG video features wedding swag that includes a pair of mugs and caps. Check it out below.
"You know when you’re a little girl and you want this big beautiful wedding, and I used to think I was one of those girls, I always wanted the fairytale," Nicki previously said in an interview with the Shade Room. "But then the things that used to matter to you don’t matter as much... I’m madly in love with this man, he’s also my best friend, the things that used to matter to me before, don’t matter as much now. So yes, we’re going to have a big wedding eventually."
It was previously reported that Minaj and Petty got their marriage license from a Beverly Hills courthouse back in July. Minaj announced that she was dating Petty in Dec. of 2018 and was met with a wave of backlash due to his criminal background. According to TMZ, Petty served time in prison for manslaughter and is a registered sex offender. News of the marriage comes on the heels of the rapper taking to Twitter to say that she's retiring from music. "I’ve decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now," Minaj wrote in a tweet that's since been deleted. "To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me, in the box- cuz ain’t nobody checkin me. Love you for LIFE."
Minaj has since said that the tweet was "insensitive to my fans..."
