Following his performance at the BET Awards on Sunday, Givēon has reacted to viral videos that show him evidently facing technical issues and not quite landing all his notes.
As seen above, the California singer appeared to have issues with either his in-ear monitors or microphone. The moment went viral on Twitter, and now he’s given his reaction as well as a shout-out to Lil Nas X following the latter’s criticism of BET for not nominating him.
“Not @BET sabotaging my mic 😂😂😂😂😂😂,” Givēon tweeted after the show ended. “@LilNasX I get it!!!!”
While it’s unclear what actually happened, it appears as Givēon is being a good sport about it.
Givēon wasn’t the only artist to show some love to the “Late to da Party” rapper when BET wouldn’t, as X’s “Industry Baby” collaborator Jack Harlow wore a Lil Nas shirt to the show.
“Wow I really love this man,” the artist wrote in a quote-tweet of Harlow’s outfit.
“Late to da Party” dropped just ahead of the BET Awards, and saw Lil Nas X chant “Fuck BET” at both the start and end of the song.
