On Friday, Eminem and Snoop Dogg surprised fans with their new collaboration “From the D 2 the LBC,” which is accompanied by a partially animated video.

The track sees the rappers put on for their hometowns, spitting at a breakneck pace on their respective verses. The hard-hitting song was released alongside its James Larese-directed visual, which sees the two reference their interest in the NFT space. Cutting between clips of the artist performing and embodying animated Bored Ape-like avatars, the fast-paced clip lines up well with the rapidfire delivery.

Upon sharing the song on Twitter, Em added, “Took too long to reconnect with @snoopdogg – you know we had to make a movie!”

The single comes a handful of months after Eminem and Snoop showed up for the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show for a star-studded performance. They were joined together by Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, and 50 Cent. It also arrives just over a week after Em shared his and CeeLo Green’s contribution to the Elvis biopic soundtrack, “The King and I.”

Slim Shady also just released the 20th anniversary expanded edition of The Eminem Show, featuring 18 bonus tracks including the previously unreleased “Bump Heads,” a collaboration with 50 Cent, Tony Yayo, and Lloyd Banks.
