UPDATED 2/27, 10:23 a.m. ET: Lady Gaga’s French bulldogs, Koji and Gustav, have been returned to the singer.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that a woman gave the dogs to officers at an LAPD station on Friday night. The dogs have not been harmed and have since been reunited with Gaga who reportedly cried “tears of joy” when she learned they had been found.
At this time, the police don’t consider the woman a suspect. She told the police that she found the dogs and decided to bring them in. The LAPD is still investigating the incident and the shooter is still at large. It is also unclear if the woman will be awarded the $500,000 Lady Gaga offered in exchange for her dogs.
UPDATED 2/26, 12:24 p.m. ET: Lady Gaga’s family is asking for help following news that the singer’s dog walker Ryan Fischer was shot, resulting in two of her dogs being stolen Wednesday night.
“Help us catch these creeps,” Gaga’s father Joe Germanotta said in an interview with Fox News on Thursday. “Shooting someone in order to steal dogs is wrong.”
The singer has yet to make a public statement about the armed robbery. Germanotta called Fischer a family “friend.”
“We’re just sick over it, it’s really horrible,” Germanotta said in another interview with the New York Post. “It’s like someone took one of your kids.”
TMZ reports that Fisher is expected to make a full recovery. In addition to thanking doctors and first responders, the 30-year-old’s family thanked Gaga and supported the singer’s ongoing search for her dogs.
“Of course, we also want to thank Lady Gaga who has shown nothing but non-stop love and concern for Ryan and our family right from the outset,” Fisher’s family told TMZ. “Ryan loves Gustavo and Koji as much as Lady Gaga does; so we join in her plea for their safe return.”
Law enforcement now believes the armed robbery of Gaga’s two French bulldogs was a targeted attempt to get ransom from the singer, though no calls demanding payment have been made.

Lady Gaga’s personal dog walker was shot multiple times in Los Angeles on Wednesday night, with two of the singer’s French bulldogs stolen in the attack.
TMZ reports that Gaga’s dogs were targeted by multiple thieves, and law enforcement sources say Gaga is offering $500,000 for her pets’ return. The Daily Mail says Ryan Fischer is the singer/actress’ dog walker and that he was out with three of her pups in West Hollywood at around 10 p.m. When police arrived at the scene Fischer was still conscious, although he has since been transported to hospital in “grave” condition, according to sources close to the situation.
One of the three dogs Fischer was walking reportedly briefly escaped, but was recovered by authorities. The attack comes as Gaga has been in Rome, and sources say she is understandably very upset about the situation. Law enforcement is investigating the incident and looking into whether Gaga’s dogs were a specific target or if the thieves had been just targeting French bulldogs.
The two that were stolen are named Koji and Gustav, and TMZ reports an email address—kojiandgustav@gmail.com—has been set up in order for the $500,000 reward to be retrieved.
Lady Gaga has yet to publicly comment on the incident, but she’s always been quick to share her love of her dogs on social media.
Surveillance footage of the incident has also been released by TMZ. “The neighbor only agreed to release this video after getting word from Gaga that she and her team wanted it to be seen to catch the shooter and recover her dogs, Koji and Gustav,” the outlet writes.
