Following a busy 2019, which involved a role in Top Boy and the release of her Mercury Prize-nominated album GREY Area, UK rapper Little Simz returns with a new EP in Drop 6. Her first drop of the year, Drop 6 sees Simz continue in her role as one of the country's deftest emcees, showing growth in her lyricism that will leave you wanting more.

If you were a fan of Simz's quick-fire flows on past cuts like "Venom" and "Wounds", then Drop 6 opener "Might Bang, Might Not" is right up your street—all fierce rhymes on a guitar-led beat for the win; "Damn Right" is another highlight, a personal tale of the life of Simbi. The EP only has one feature: the singer Alewya, who makes an appearance on final track "Where's My Lighter".

Drop 6 was made entirely during self-isolation over the past month, and Simz took to Twitter to share some of the creative process with her fans:

Though the EP is only five tracks long, the sheer quality of the music should keep you satisfied until news of the next album arrives. Get into Drop 6 in full below.
