Virgil Abloh has teamed up with visual artist George Condo to launch a new project called Jazz Hours.

Abloh explained what the venture entailed on Friday, writing, “djing online tomorrow, 12 noon EST. ‘Watercolor’ the Jazz Hours is the project title. @artistgeorgecondo is my partner in crime on this. every session of songs is inspired by an original painting he texts me. link in bio for volume 1 information. @canary____yellow.”

Abloh also posted a new graphic for the event on Saturday morning, alongside another message: “dinner at @artistgeorgecondo’s place is exactly the same. playing jazz records in a few hours. figure out how to plug your phone / laptop to a home speaker situation, i’m pulling together an daytime soundtrack. ambiance to think to c/o @canary____yellow & the @televised___radio syndicate ~ IG LIVE will have half the jazz, full visual candy on the link in bio.”

It appears that the project is in collaboration with Abloh’s professional archive, Canary Yellow and his radio show Televised Radio.

Instagram Live has become a popular destination for artists to host events, DJ, and battle each other since everyone is cooped up in their homes.

Abloh also recently made headlines because it looks like he's been giving Drake's private jet an extensive makeover. Abloh's redesign and Drake's "Toosie Slide" became a major inspiration for social media influencer Zack Bia's own Instagram Live DJ session earlier this week.
