21 Savage has linked up with Summer Walker on the new track “Secret.”

The song arrives more than six months after the artists connected on Jhené Aiko’s “Triggered” remix, which marked their first collaboration. “Secret” samples Xscape’s 1998 record “My Little Secret,” produced by Jermaine Dupri—so, needless to say, the R&B vibes are heavy.

“Got a dark skin girl, 5' 8" with the brown eyes/We been up and down, had a couple crashes but she still ride,” 21 raps in the opening verse. “She go to school, got two jobs, drive the same Kia 'cause it still slide/Work so hard on her off day, she be still tired/I just wanna take away the pain.”

“Secret” is available to stream now on Apple Music and Spotify.

The track may be a little taste of what’s to come from 21. Several weeks ago, producer Metro Boomin confirmed he and the I Am > I Was rapper were working in the studio during the COVID-19 lockdowns. Metro posted a photo of himself and 21 sitting on a couch playing cards. The post was tagged “Savage Mode 2,” suggesting they were still recording the long-awaited sequel to their 2016 joint project.

Stay tuned.
