Since the mid-2010s, UK drill has grown to become one of the most popular genres of music in the UK. While breaking into the mainstream with acts like Headie One, DigDat and Digga D (as well as the controversial headlines), the sound has recently made its way over to Brooklyn, New York City, with the late Pop Smoke being a huge advocate. But with all the popularity the genre carries in the UK, it hasn't been plain sailing for those involved in creating the music.

YouTube Original's new documentary, Terms & Conditions: A UK Drill Story, investigates the impact of drill music and the stigmas that are attached to it. Directed by the BAFTA-winning Brian Hill and produced by Kandise Abiola, Terms & Conditions is guided by journalist and drill expert Andre Montgomery-Johnson, best known for reporting on his  YouTube channel, Mr Montgomery. Here we see Andre explore UK drill's early history, its link to London's knife crime epidemic, and its emergence as one of the most talked-about cultural movements in decades.

Terms & Conditions features interviews with people closely linked to the genre, or have been affected by it, with the likes of Skengdo x AM, Lavida Loca and the Drillminister sharing their personal and unique outlooks on the world of drill music and what it means to them. With the matter of opinion being a standout factor, it provides valuable insight from drill rappers, music producers, community leaders, mentors, lawyers, police officers and mothers.
