It's fair to say that Nottingham's Mez has carved out his own lane in this new era of grime we're in. Armed with aggressive flows and cheeky one-liners, the Midlands MC has always been one for breaking the boundaries.

This has once again been proven in Mez's latest release, "King Of Grime", which sees him come through with the confidence and thick-skinned energy that every bar-slinger needs.

"King Of Grime" follows the internet-breaking "Prince Of Grime" freestyles from London's Yizzy, in which he sent shots at Jammer, Wiley, AJ Tracey, Dot Rotten and more. With clashing being in Mezical's DNA, his latest release seems to be, in large part, a response to a number of comments made by Yizzy in his track.

In the Bipolar Spider-directed visuals, we see Mez posted up with DJ Grandmixxer in a secluded location as he unleashes his raging, double-time flow over Plastician's "Section 7" riddim, which was used in 2010 by Skepta and Frisco for their track "We Don't Believe You".

Is grime's war season about to be reignited? Only time will tell.
