Joe Budden has once again gone on the offensive in the latest episode of the Joe Budden Podcast with Rory & Mal, this time commenting on Kehlani and YG’s reported break up.

After Wednesday’s episode went live, Kehlani called Budden out on Twitter, writing in a series of now-deleted tweets, “joe budden is a joke.” She also called his commentary “disgusting.”

She then replied to Budden, writing, “the amount of misinformation and lies and lameness in this episode about me and you used my face is … lol gotta love it.”

In that tweet, she referenced the image that the Joe Budden Podcast Twitter account used for the episode.

Budden then seemingly commented on Kehlani’s attack, writing, “I’m bout sick of you artists… never a peep through years of praise but wanna jump outta windows when you hear something you don’t like… newsflash, i am not friends with you n***as.”

During Wednesday’s episode, the trio discussed Kehlani’s newest single “Valentine’s Day (Shameful),” where she looks to have addressed her breakup with YG. “We did receive some new music from [the breakup], which, I feel like I’ve been hoodwinked,” Budden said around the 30:30 mark. “‘Cause it was just last week we came on this podcast [and] Rory made me listen to a YG and Kehlani song, [“Konclusions”]. ... I was with this new image of YG being in love and making songs like he’s in love.”

Budden continued, “['Valentine’s Day' is] unlike any Kehlani record I’ve ever heard. … She really wants us to know how much of a piece of shit YG is, but she’s hiding behind the thin veil of I’m not telling you guys who I’m talking about.”

Budden then played the song and tore it apart while also saying he loves it. “The fucked up part is she’s smoking this shit. And she stepped on that n***a’s single. Chicks don’t care what they step on when they’re in a rage. They don’t care what they ruin.” The hosts also noted that Kehlani “definitely helped change YG's image.”

While most of what Budden said was out of pocket, he really hit a home run when he discussed Kehlani and ex PartyNextDoor’s relationship, saying, “Party gonna try and double back now: ‘You was shitting on me cause I made you try to kill yourself.’”

On Monday, Kehlani released “Valentine’s Day.” In a now-deleted tweet, Kehlani wrote, “Shit happens. Life really happens. U Jus gotta stay pure and move with love and thank god you are one of the ones that do.”

On Valentine’s Day, the former couple dropped their new collaborative single “Konclusions,” where YG proclaims his love for the singer while gloating about their sex lives. The two began dating in September 2019, but parted ways right before the holidays after YG cheated. They then got back together before they called it quits again.
