DaBaby Explains Why He Pushed Hotel Worker After Video Surfaces of Incident (UPDATE)

This is the latest in a string of physical altercations for the rapper.

UPDATED 1/18, 1:40 p.m. ET: DaBaby has taken to Instagram to clear up why he confronted the hotel employee.

In a detailed explanation, the rapper wrote that the worker approached him and asked to record a video of him while he was holding his 2-year-old daughter. When DaBaby said no, the worker walked to the other side of the parking lot and still recorded a video. The rapper saw and confronted the worker, which was captured on the hotel's security camera. He also slammed TMZ as well as the Beverly Hills hotel for providing the outlet with footage of the incident. Read DaBaby's lengthy explanation below.

DaBaby had another fiery run-in with a fan in Los Angeles last month.

Security footage from a Beverly Hills hotel obtained by TMZ, shows the rapper roughing someone up in the hotel lobby. According to the report, the man in the video is a hotel employee who followed DaBaby outside to get a photo. The rapper allegedly said no and went back inside.

That's when things are said to have become heated. The employee allegedly followed DaBaby into the lobby, which is when he got mad and slammed the man against the wall, roughing him up a bit. The incident happened on Dec. 19, the day after DaBaby performed at the Shrine in Los Angeles. The rapper and his crew left the hotel without further incident, and the police weren’t called, per TMZ.

This is the latest in a string of incidents between DaBaby and his fans. Last year, he attacked a fan outside a concert in Massachusetts after the fan asked for a photo. DaBaby also got into an altercation with a fellow rapper at a Louis Vuitton store in North Carolina.

His attorney, Michael Heiskell, told TMZ, “Any actions taken by DaBaby were likely in self-defense based upon his recall of the events and until the video is thoroughly reviewed we have no further comment at this time.”

In early January, the rapper was arrested in Miami after reportedly getting into an altercation with a concert promoter who allegedly shorted him $10,000. He was charged with battery but has maintained his innocence. TMZ reports that the promoter plans to sue DaBaby and his crew over the alleged assault. The rapper and his associates are accused of spilling apple juice on the promoter and robbing him of $80, an iPhone, and a credit card.
