This summer saw the release of Hot Chip's seventh full-length album, A Bath Full Of Ecstasy, adding yet another collection of club-friendly synth-pop gems to their already impressive catalogue. After liberating two singles from the album, "Hungry Child" in April and "Melody Of Love" in May, they're now about to release this new remix of the former from French techno producer POPOF.
The original was a relatively laid-back affair with atmospheric synth washes punctuated by a typically infectious and uplifting chorus. POPOF's remix transforms things entirely, pushing the energy through the roof and playing on the vibrancy of the chorus for a surefire floor-filler that hopefully signals more reworkings of the album.
POPOF's "Hungry Child" remix comes out on Domino Records on Dec. 13.
