Rapidly ascending Afrobeats producer GuiltyBeatz journey to the top is progressing at an astonishing rate. In just the last couple of years he's produced hits for Mr Eazi, Kida Kudz, King Promise, Sarkodie and he was the brains behind Ms. Banks' smash "Snack". Not only that, but he also earned himself a Grammy nomination when he lent his talents to Beyoncé’s The Lion King: The Gift.
With several solo singles under his belt (including the massive hit "Akwaaba"), he's ready to present his debut EP, Different (dropping early 2020), and we've got the lead single "Iyabo" with fellow Nigerian rapper Falz and Ghanaian vocalist Joey B. The trio have created a dark, brooding piece of Afrobeats propelled forward by relentless percussion and a rumbling bass line beneath Joey and Falz's laid back vocal styles.
Only time will tell if the EP repeats the success of his previous singles, but the smart money says it absolutely will.
