The New York City Police Department reportedly tried to ruin a Moose Knuckles-set party performance that featured both Lil' Kim and Pop Smoke earlier this week.

Per a report on the event from Page Six, cops "crashed" the SoHo boutique Wednesday night and halted many would-be attendees from entering.

"It was a room of like 40 people … Lil' Kim didn't perform in front of a packed house because no one could get in—even [model] Jourdan Dunn and [actor] Luka Sabbat were waiting [outside]," one of the publication's sources claimed of the incident.

Another source, per the report, said that the event organizers had properly permitted the gathering, with all artists and other participants arriving at their respective schedule times "but for some reason NYPD shut down the door and didn't allow Pop Smoke into the venue." According to the report, the department argued that the space was over capacity, though the source said "it wasn't."

Back in October, the NYPD was reported to have asked Rolling Loud organizers to remove Pop Smoke and several other artists from the lineup. In a Fader-obtained letter from the department, a rep claimed "public safety concerns" were behind the request.
