2 Men Arrested in Double Homicide That Left NC Rapper Box Carlito Dead

Box Carlito reportedly bailed his friend—who was also shot and killed on the same day as Carlito—out of jail the day prior to the shooting.

Two suspects have been arrested in the death of North Carolina rapper Box Carlito.

Jonathan Isaiah Manning and Tyshon Gerod Solomon have been charged with first-degree murder for the deaths of Carlito—born Vincente Arocho—and Jaquan Tyrone Dumas, Raleigh’s News & Observer reports.

Carlito, 28, and Dumas, 31, were shot last Wednesday in Raleigh, according to the Raleigh Police Department. Carlito was pronounced dead at the scene, while Dumas was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

It appears that the day before the shooting, Carlito had bailed Dumas out of jail. Carlito posted the moment on Instagram.

Both 21-year-old Manning and 22-year-old Solomon had been previously convicted of felonies. In 2017, Solomon served time for assault with a deadly weapon to kill, per the News & Observer. Carlito and Dumas have also been convicted of multiple felonies, including armed robbery and cocaine distribution.
