Baddie Winkle Life is Beautiful

Riding the last vibes of summer, the annual Life is Beautiful Music and Art festival presented its sixth lineup this past weekend in Downtown Las Vegas. Although the multi-day West Coast music and culinary event is one of the more low-key festivals with a smaller layout, the marathon concert still managed to deliver a well-curated mix of artists of the moment and fun brand activations perfect for those seeking a more intimate experience.

Of the numerous brand activations, Jack's Playground had the most to see—a full set-up of Skee-Ball, which spat fire if you hit a bullseye, Jack's signature dipping sauce ball pits, curly fry swings, taco seesaws, and a giant bacon slide. Dressed to impress, 91-year-old style sensation Baddie Winkle made an appearance at Jack's Playground all three days. If you don't follow the glamorous Baddie, who commands a 3.8 million following on Instagram, peep below for a recap of her outfits alongside our festival notes.

Day 1: Friday

On the first day, Baddie geared up in a neon green leopard dress excited to greet her fans. Editors and attendees lined up to get a chance to meet with the colorful style savant.

After rounds of greetings, Baddie took a break by playing on a taco seesaw with a fan. Despite the 90-degree weather, she was anything but tired. Fans followed suit as they explored other activities on the playground.

Friday marked the lightest day of the weekend with performances most notably by Gunna and Chance the Rapper, who closed out the day.

Day 2: Saturday
Day 2

On day two, Baddie showed up in a neon pink feather cardigan duster complete with a pink polka dot skirt and bouclé fiddler cap. Full of energy, the Instagram star stayed at the activation exploring the Skee-Ball station and playing on the curly fry swings. Saturday saw a more robust lineup that featured Saint JHN, Banks, Janelle Monáe, and Lost Kings. Although scheduled performer Lil Wayne canceled his performance last minute, festivalgoers did not sulk. Instead, they lined up around the corner for the chance to play with Baddie Winkle.

Following the festival, Jack in the Box also made a debut at Drai's Nightclub. Fans eagerly arrived to the storied hip-hop club at 12AM awaiting a promised performance from Migos. As the clock ticked on until nearly 4AM, fans didn't budge. Mitigating some of the impatience from waiting, Jack in the Box heroically rolled in late-night snacks in the form of tacos and curly fries to the VIP section much to everyone's thrill. Moments later tacos could be seen passed along the crowd. Finally, around 4:30 AM, the Atlanta trio took the stage ending the event on typical Las Vegas time — leaving clubgoers to hail transportation in daylight at 6AM.

Day 3: Sunday

Sunday saw temperatures rise into the higher 90s. Following the heat, Baddie rode into the activation sporting a muted dress with a beat of flare in the form a butterfly.

Day three of the festival saw the most concert-goers with a packed lineup. With performances by Rae Sremmurd, NERVO, Zedd, Sheck Wes and more, people staked out at stages waiting for their favorite artists. Most people were waiting for the chance to see Post Malone at 11:30 PM. The mega artist did not disappoint and performed through 1 AM.

Closing out Jack's Playground, Baddie stayed in the park until 6 PM entertaining fans, and, despite the three-day music fairy tale, she's right back on IG inspiring others to love life. Be sure to keep up with Jack in the Box and Baddie, and if you haven't already, watch the endearing influencer here.
