Quality Control 'Control the Streets, Volume 2'

Atlanta-based label Quality Control is home to some of the biggest names in the game: Migos, Lil Yachty, Lil Baby, and City Girls, just to name a few. This week, the imprint showcases its talented roster with an ambitious project called Control the Streets Volume 2—the follow-up to its 2017 compilation album.

Volume 2 spans 36 tracks, including the promotional singles “Baby,” “Come On,” “Once Again,” and “Longtime.”

Yachty confirmed he was working on the album during an interview with Rap-Up over a year ago. The rapper also spoke about the QC family and the bond between all the artists.

“It’s very tight-knit,” he said. “It’s probably the tightest label out. It’s real family. We can all call each other and depend on each other, see each other if we need to. It’s not fake.”

In addition to the QC signees, Volume 2 includes contributions from Megan Thee Stallion, Travis Scott, Meek Mill, DaBaby, Gunna, French Montana, Playboi Carti, and more.

Stream the album now on Apple Music and Spotify.

In other QC-related news, label signee Offset announced his partnership with FaZe Clan—a leading company in esports entertainment.

“I love gaming and esports is the future” Offset said about the deal. “These two facts make it only right that I be a part of the biggest esports organization with some of the best players in the world.”

According to FaZe Clan, Offset has invested an undisclosed amount of money into the business as it continues to expand. The terms of the deal have not been revealed, but the organization calls the partnership “mutually beneficial.”

“FaZe Clan goes beyond gaming and esports – we’re leading a transformation in culture and entertainment,” said Lee Trink, CEO of FaZe Clan. “Offset represents a new generation of cultural leaders who understand that shift. FaZe Clan is redefining what it means to be an iconic entertainment brand and working with a visionary like Offset is another step towards the future—we not only dominate in competitive gaming we are setting new trends across content, merchandise, brand partnerships, and beyond.”
