Speakman Sound

At the end of this month, UK production duo Speakman Sound will release their Limbic EP, their first longer project of the year. Ahead of that, we've got the exclusive share of the EP's second single, "Sleep". The new one, which features Akala-approved rapper Deacon, comes hot on the heels of "Via Lactea" with NAALA.

"Sleep" is a meandering, jazz-soaked rap creation that plays out like a fevered dream with Deacon's steam-of-consciousness bars swerving through a dizzying array of subjects. Holding it all together is a soulful R&B sample that punctures the free-spirited production style and drives the track towards its uplifting conclusion.

The Limbic EP drops August via Ears To Learn With Records. Catch the Speakman brothers live at Bermondsey Social Club on August 14.
