YG was handcuffed early Sunday morning for reckless driving, TMZ reports.

During BET Awards weekend, the rapper was en route to an appearance at 1 OAK around 1:45 a.m. when the police pulled him over. Authorities said YG was speeding and weaving in and out of lanes on the Sunset Strip.

However, the situation became tense when cops claimed YG became “upset and uncooperative and used profanities toward the deputies.” They also alleged that he was “riling up the crowd,” so they handcuffed him.

When witnesses became upset over the police response, cops began telling some to “shut up.” The police had YG take a sobriety test and a field breathalyzer, and ultimately concluded he wasn’t under the influence. He 21 released but cited for reckless driving.

YG is set to hit the road this summer with Meek Mill, Future, DJ Mustard, and Megan Thee Stallion. The tour will kick off on Aug. 28 at St. Louis' Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre and 24 cities in total before ending in Las Vegas' Mandalay Bay Events Center on Oct. 5.

YG recently appeared on Mustard’s supergroup track “On GOD,” also featuring ASAP Ferg, ASAP Rocky, and Tyga.
