Lil Zay Osama has shared the introspective video for his new single "Back When I Was Young."
The song, which hit streaming services earlier this month, finds the up-and-coming rapper reflecting on his humble upbringing in South Chicago and his childhood that was cut short. The young artist was locked up at the age of 16 and remained behind bars for the next several years. Prior to his incarceration, however, Lil Zay was making waves within Chicago's drill scene and continued to hone his craft until his release at 19.
The "Back When I Was Young" visual, directed by Dogfood Media, provides a glimpse at Lil Zay's past with scenes shot on a school bus, in his bedroom, on the front porch steps, and in the streets.
