London-based singer-songwriter Rayon Nelson is spending this week gearing up for the release of his new EP, Closer, this Friday (May 31). The new four track EP will feature four new tracks all spilling over with understated, bluesy guitar playing and incisive songwriting. Ahead of that, we've got the first play of the video for lead single "Made Of Gold", a sombre and heartwrenching track that tells the haunting and relatable tale of someone going through emotional turmoil.

Speaking with Complex via email, Nelson told us: "Often people think because you present yourself in a certain way, that you have everything together. 'Made Of Gold' song attempts to show that even though these words that I try to live by are 'made of gold', I somehow still fall in doubt and I'm most certainly not perfect. I'm a closed person in general so this EP contains some personal songs, and I guess its a way of people getting closer to me."

Look out for the EP at the end of the week and catch Rayon Nelson live at the following dates.

May 30 - EP Launch at The Finsbury
June 3 - Concrete Shoreditch, London
June 21 - Poster, Hackney
