Barely taking a pause for breath after she released "Rice In Foil" in March, Amsterdam singer-songwriter Joya Mooi is already back with a brand new single and video.

Joining her on this one is fellow Dutch singer Pink Oculus and together the pair explore themes of identity and how these play out for people whose heritage isn't confined to just one culture or country; in Mooi's case, her Dutch and South African background. To reflect that in the video, Mooi drafted in award-winning filmmaker Tom Fassaert to shoot and direct the video across the two countries. The result is a celebration of where she comes from and, despite the globe-trotting nature of the video, deeply intimate.

Speaking with Complex via email, Mooi told us: "I wanted to explore what it means to me to be South African, Dutch, mixed-race—with roots shattered all over. It's not just black and white; there's this grey area with different elements that make me feel like I belong/matter."
