Going through the motions isn't always as easy as it sounds, which is why it's super helpful to get a little encouragement from our friends, family, and our favourite artists. Khadijah Lopez knows this all too well, so the Toronto singer crafted a brand new song that puts her listeners at ease. The aforementioned track, aptly titled "We Coping", comes peppered with uplifting lyrics and soothing, aquatic instrumentals. In just over three minutes, Khadijah's managed to craft a meditative song that leaves us feeling like we just emerged from a sensory deprivation tank.
In an email message sent out today, Khadijah stressed that her latest single is meant to encourage listeners to get through the daily grind and whatever else comes their way. “Going through life, getting hurt is inevitable," she beings, "that's something we can count on... but what isn't so clear is how to deal with the growing pains. There are no rules on how to get past our pain, and I truly believe that one of the biggest parts of how we cope with pain defines our character and who we become as people. One way or the other, we're all just coping. Whether it's positively or not.”
"We Coping" was produced by Ashlee Renea Rivers, who has worked with other artists on the rise like Marr Grey and Kennedy Road. The song is now available to stream on all major platforms, including below via Apple Music and Spotify.
