Adrian Dey Unleashes Eerie New Banger "Not Playing 2019"

Point Guard isn't playing around this year.

Every so often, you'll discover a new song that forces your brain to readjust a bit. That's kind of what happened when we hit play on Adrian Dey's latest offering. The new banger, which dropped earlier today, is a short experiment in dark trap and has the Toronto rapper laying distorted vocals over an insanely eerie beat. Armed with the declarative title "Not Playing 2019", the song is his first of the year and indicates that we're in for a ton of heat in the very near future.

Chatting with us via email, Adrian says that "Not Playing 2019" inspired him to take his game to the next level. "This record came from a feeling that I've had since the year started. I was working on a few records when this beat came on, and the first thing that came to mind was I can't play around no more. I gotta really just be me and go hard this year."

Production credits for "Not Playing 2019" go to A.M.P.Z, who comes through with a beat that sounds like a Freddie Krueger nightmare. You can listen to the track now on all major streaming platforms including below via Apple Music and Spotify. If you haven't already, revisit Adrian's last project Summer Leaguehere.
