A hotel ambush allegedly targeting Yungeen Ace resulted in one fatality and multiple arrests over the weekend.

Ace's lawyer told multiple outlets, including News4Jax, that his client was among those targeted in the ambush that left one man dead and another injured at a Hampton Inn in Waycross, Georgia.

The incident went down Sunday, with Waycross Police Department officers responding to the hotel around 3:30 a.m. Upon arrival, 30-year-old Jeremy Brookins was found with apparent gunshot wounds near a pool on the property and later died despite receiving on-site treatment. 29-year-old Dewayne Lamont Scott was also shot. He was transported to a nearby hospital after being found inside a Hampton Inn room by responding officers.

26-year-old Mark Jefferson, 18-year-old LeRoy Whittaker, and 26-year-old Devante Starks were reportedly taken into custody in connection with the shooting.

"With respect to the investigation, we will not confirm the relationship between the people shot and [Ace]," attorney David Haas said. "[Ace] cooperated with the investigation, but will not be commenting any further."

Complex has reached out to reps for Yungeen Ace and the Waycross Police Department and will update this post accordingly with any new info as it comes in.

In his most recent Instagram Story update, Ace wrote that he knows "dey dnt care bout me." It's unclear, however, what exactly he's referencing in the posts. "Bitch I live for today," he added. "I might die tm."

In an interview with Complex back in October, Ace looked back on losing his brother and two close friends to a drive-by shooting earlier that year. "Music speaks for me," he said. "I got a message, and somebody gonna want to hear it. Somebody is gonna hear it."
