During a recent on-the-mic moment at a club in Miami, Kodak Black seemingly revived his public dislike of all things Lil Wayne.
Kodak is first seen in the clip asking the crowd about Weezy's whereabouts. "Hey, turn this shit off, bro," he says. "Where Lil Wayne?" Later, Kodak says "You should've died when you was a baby." Due to the quality of the clip's audio, it's difficult to determine the exact context of Kodak's comments.
Wayne's 20-year-old daughter and Tha Carter V collaborator Reginae Carter quickly clapped back on Instagram, saying, "You new lil rappers need to start giving props and respect to the Goat. My father don’t bother nobody. ... You pick the night he didn’t go to LIV to say that. You bold."
Reginae also aired out Kodak's recent album Dying to Live. "This n***a whole album sound like my daddy old shit. Gtfoh."
As previously mentioned, Kodak's issues with Wayne have been the stuff of headlines in the past. Back in December 2016, Kodak posited himself as being a stronger contender for Best Rapper Alive.
Kodak later revisited that claim during his viral Breakfast Club interview, adding some criticism about Wayne's age (36). "I don't even wanna talk about it," he said at the time. "He too old. That's what I said, you know what I'm saying? Y'all ain't finna have me tweeting right now." At one point, he also challenged Wayne to a fight.
Following Reginae's response, Kodak hopped on Instagram Live and told everyone to "get off my drip. Me and dude got a whole song together, and his lil bald head daughter like... Don't be coming at me like that." In telling everyone to leave him alone, however, he also doubled down on calling Wayne old.
Upon seeing the clip, Reginae's mother Antonia "Toya" Wright responded to Kodak by simply writing, "FUCK YOU."
Later this month, Kodak is set to begin his Dying to Live Tour with an opening night show in Wayne's hometown of New Orleans.
