Carmouflage Rose unveils the vibes behind “Late Nights” in A1 Hip Hop’s “Starting Point”

In the latest episode of “Starting Point”, we link up with Carmouflage Rose to discover the background and processes behind “Late Nights"

Starting Point is a Spotify series featuring four Australian hip-hop artists, from the flagship A1 Hip-Hop playlist; following them to the places they feel most creative to hear the stories behind their music.

Over the past year, Carmouflage Rose has been hitting home runs down under on the constant. The Brisbane rapper/singer is here to make hits, pairing his passion for lyricism with the melodies and cadences of dancehall and R&B in a way only he can. We recently experienced his unique flavour on his EP Taste which featured standout singles like “Wildflowers”, and we’ve seen him dominate the Australian circuit both headlining his own sold out shows and appearing at festivals such as Groovin’ The Moo, Spilt Milk, and FOMO. Now, it’s time to take a look back on the single that propelled his inevitable stardom: “Late Nights”.

In the latest episode of “Starting Point”, we touched down in Brisbane to link up with Carmouflage Rose to discover the background and processes behind the “Late Nights”, and how it went from a simple vibe to a single with close to 10,000,000 streams, a Gold certification and a placement on the A1 Hip-Hop playlist. We also talked to producer James Angus, and how his relationship with Rose is essential to the song’s celebratory vibe.
