Shay Lia is making some serious waves in her latest visual, and we mean that in both a literal and metaphorical sense. The Montreal by way of Djibouti talent has spent the last few years refining her craft and building a network of impressive collaborators including hometown hero Kaytranada and go-to R&B producer, Sango. The latter beatsmith linked up with Shay most recently for the excellent and incredibly moody bop "The Cycle", a relatable joint about moving on and leaving a toxic relationship. Armed with potent lyrics and hypnotic basslines, the tune solidified Shay as an artist to watch and left our thumbs hovering over the replay button.

Now a few weeks since the "The Cycle" debuted on streaming services, we're getting a brand new music video and thankfully it does the terrific song justice. Spanning three and a half minutes, the slick visual sees Shay serving major looks, dancing behind a curtain, and diving (Olympic form too) into a backyard pool. The singer directed the piece herself along with Jay Willis, while production assistance is credited to The Riot Club. You can watch the entire thing unfold above via YouTube.
