For their new single, "Terrible Liar", Dutch alt-pop production outfit Radio Stanley, aka Ebbo Kraan and Bruno Verhaar, have linked up with fellow Amsterdam artist Youandi Albertzoon. Together, the three of them have crafted something that's somehow simultaneously soothing and unsettling, marrying hypnotic rhythms and smooth lyricism with a mind-expanding and surreal set of visuals, which comes courtesy of Radio Stanley themselves.

"Terrible Liar" dropped on Friday, their first release since last year's staggeringly well-received A Year From Heaven EP. Though the EP was their debut release as a duo, the combined experience of Kraan and Verhaar has clearly served them well. It also seems linking up with Blue Wonder and Beau Nox for the EP has sparked something in them both, setting them on the path of crafting mind-expanding instrumentals for their favourite vocalists that we hope will continue for the forseeable future.

As Radio Stanley explained to Complex via email: "To us, the song signifies that overthinking and overdoing can stand in the way of creative progress. Trying new things is not about thinking of the result. Listen to the outro, the song sounds like a modern art piece. This first song was made at our studio that was near a train railway so there were always trains passing by fucking up our recordings. It's all these imperfections that create all the beautiful things, truly. This is a reminder that we are a new generation."
