While it was clearly his night — in a way that the Grammys wasn't — the KOD rapper stayed true to his ultra-positive worldview, finding time in the performance to shout out 21 Savage

While the crowd in Charlotte was hype to hear Cole himself, Twitter users seemed to be tuning in just to get a glimpse of his throwback Hornets jacket.

The fans felt the upbeat vibes of Cole's performance, clearly vibing with the NBA's choice of performers at the annual exhibition. While Meek Mill and J. Cole are on entirely different wavelengths sonically, they both got fans moving. Cole got into the festivities well before his set, lending a helping hand during the dunk contest.
