The Landlord of UK rap, Giggs, surprise-dropped news of his fifth studio album, BIG BAD..., at the top of the month. Led by an impressive, cinematic-style trailer and stellar support cast, BIG BAD... arrives today and hopes to be a welcome addition to one of the longest running UK rap discographies.
With a strong transatlantic feel, BIG BAD... carries the SN1 rapper's largest collection of US features to date — including Jadakiss, GASHI, Lil Yachty and French Montana. That said, the album's high points also include the input of Wretch 32 and Ghetts, meaning there may just be a broader appeal to all types of fans on this LP than those prior.
To celebrate, Giggs is set to take over the airwaves this weekend: on Sunday, he'll be joining Semtex on Capital Xtra for an album play-through and he'll also be sitting in for David Rodigan, covering his BBC Radio 1Xtra show this Sunday 7–9pm.
