If you somehow hadn't already noticed, rap is currently experiencing a wave of bold new characters. Thanks to some wise social media antics and undeniably fun tracks, artists like Trippie Redd, Lil Keed, and Blueface have gone from relative obscurity to mainstream dominance. Most of these characters have been popping off in the United States, but as their influence continues to percolate throughout the industry, similarly fresh new faces are popping throughout the world.

Now, something colourful and catchy arrives from all the way up north in the currently frigid streets of Toronto. The artist in question is the playfully named, Bebeboy, who flaunts cotton candy hair and a haute cotoure vibe. Along with his lively persona, Bebeboy delivers some dope music including his latest effort, "HUH?!". The track, produced by Bounce Zaddy, sees Bebe float over a beat packed with snappy snares and an earworm synth lead.

Speaking to Complex CA via email, the rapper explained that his recent track came about as a bit of an accident. "Bounce was making a pack to send to a Travis Scott's A&R and he had created this really cinematic intro to a beat that switched up," begins Bebe. "I didn’t understand the switch up, so one night we were vibing in the studio and Bounce played the intro with the drums and I was like yo, loop that intro and just let the drums play out."

"HUH?!" is available now on all major streaming platforms, including below via Spotify.
