Rising singer-songwriter Alec Benjamin has shared the video for "Let Me Down Slowly," a hypnotic track featuring Alessia Cara.
Directed by Jared Hogan, the video is kept relatively straightforward and simple but manages to perfectly convey the song's message of vulnerability. Alec and Alessia are seen singing throughout most of the video with sitting in chairs; their scenes are broken up by shots of different couples in different locations.
"For this 'Let Me Down Slowly' music video, we really wanted to keep the overall vision simple but also capture the themes of the song through various relationships," Alec told Complex. "Alessia is an incredible artist and person. It was freezing and rainy on set but we had a great time shooting the video and hope everyone likes it!"
You can watch the video above. "Let Me Down" appeared on Alec's 2018 mixtape Narrated for You. The singer-songwriter is currently on tour overseas. He'll kick off his North American trek of his Outrunning Karma Tour next month in San Francisco.
